As of January 1, 2006, Georgia Sales Tax must be paid on all vehicles purchased outside the State of Georgia prior to registration of the vehicle.

Beginning January 1, 2006, the Elbert County Tax Commissioner will be issue handicap mirror hangers. The applications for these hangers are available in our office. You must obtain the handicap/disabled placard from the county in which you live.
